About us...

I guess you could say it all started back in February 2009 when Mike turned 40 and I threw him a big birthday bash. His neighbor/good friend Jason painted him a grill lid for his Traeger BBQ with real fire and put "Done's Pub & Grill" on it. That was the beginning of it all... He built an outdoor kitchen around this grill lid and it is now often referred to as his "man cave" (minus the walls) Mike spends many countless hours cooking in his new outdoor space. He started experimenting with some sauces and after reading many, many recipe/cook books, dissecting other sauces, and using many of his friends as guinea pigs.. he has perfected his BBQ sauce.

The big joke around Mike is the line from the movie Anchorman when Will Ferrell a.k.a. Ron Burgundy said "I don't know how to put this but I'm kind of a big deal" This has been an ongoing joke for quite some time now. Mike is always telling people what a "big deal" he is. So, I came up with the idea of him naming his BBQ sauce after that. So, hence the name "BIG DEAL BBQ SAUCE"
